Final Conference of the CRISAFE Project held in Split

The final conference of the CRISAFE project, which aimed to address the increasingly important question in light of growing natural disasters and their cascading effects “How can risk assessment and early warning systems help protect critical infrastructure and communities from multi-hazard cascading events?”  was successfully held in Split, bringing together experts and project partners to present key findings and share experiences.

In addition to the presentation of results from related projects such as BORIS2 (Prof. Matijaž Dolšek), participants also reflected on lessons learned from the most recent major earthquake in Northwestern Croatia (Prof. Josip Atalić).

The conference also showcased the outcomes of the two-year CRISAFE project. Infra Plan presented the results of risk assessments conducted for two case studies included in the project: the City of Zagreb (Croatia) and IJsselmonde (the Netherlands).

We would like to thank all project partners for their collaboration and contributions, and we look forward to future opportunities for joint projects.
