Piloting the Shift to Human-Centric Industry
The SEISMEC project showcases the concept of human-centricity across a wide range of industrial sectors, scales, and sociotechnical contexts throughout the EU. By actively involving workers in the co-design and co-development of new technologies, SEISMEC promotes a transition towards a more inclusive, skills-driven, and creativity-oriented industrial landscape.
SEISMEC brings together a strong international consortium of 29 beneficiaries and 2 associated partners from 16 countries, including the Netherlands, Germany, Ireland, Greece, Spain, Romania, Belgium, Lithuania, France, Austria, Poland, Croatia, Serbia, Italy, Slovenia, and Turkey. The consortium connects key actors from both industry and academia, combining the expertise of universities and research institutions with the innovation capacity of SMEs and large enterprises.
Infra Plan is collaborating with Zagreb Airport to enhance Foreign Object Debris (FOD) detection in operational areas by replacing time-consuming manual inspections with an AI-driven, real-time mobile system mounted on airport vehicles. The solution integrates automated detection, advanced data processing, and user-friendly interfaces, combining a mobile application, dataset development, and AI model validation into airport safety operations. By merging human expertise with AI technologies, the project improves inspection efficiency, increases safety, and supports more inclusive and effective working conditions.
